Our Mission»

 The primary function of the Ministry of Revenue and Customs is to collect revenue through taxes and duties for the Government of Tonga to fund the services to the people of Tonga.

In addition, the Ministry is also responsible for border security and facilitating trade. The Ministry of Revenue and Customs exists to:

  • Collect revenue on behalf of the Government of Tonga;
  • Protect and secure the borders of Tonga; and
  • Facilitate trade in Tonga.
