Tax Expenditure FY2023/24
This Tax Expenditure report is the first of its kind and is part of Government efforts to ensure transparent reporting in order to provide a complete picture of the various sectors entitled to the tax expenditures and more importantly, outlining the revenue forgone from Government tax collection as a result of the same.
As this is the first report of its kind for Tonga’s tax administration, the data provided includes analysis from fiscal year 2020/21 up until fiscal year 2023/24 in in an attempt to provide a better understanding of their evolution and impacts. Moving forward, this report will be published at least once each year.
